Hi! My name is Courtney Carter (She/hers) and I am a soon-to-be graduating senior at Grinnell College, majoring in Physics and Studio Art. As a middle-schooler, I wanted to be two things; a veterinarian or an astrophysicist (ask my parents for the receipts, they were just as bewildered). I decided to pursue the latter in college, and hope to pursue a Ph.D. in astronomy or astrophysics after graduating. I have a special interest in galactic archaeology and galaxy evolution. Learning about how our Galaxy formed makes me feel connected to our greater cosmic history. I am also passionate about the Black radical tradition, intersectional feminism, training my service dog, and art-making.
