Chaneil James

Chaneil did a BSc in Earth sciences (geophysics) at University College London (UCL). She is currently studying a masters in Astrophysics, Particle Physics, and Cosmology at the University of Barcelona. Whilst doing her undergrad, Chaneil worked for NASA FDL/FDL Europe as the community coordinator, and did an internship at CERN. She has worked with the company CogX for their 2019 Festival for AI and technology, and with NAAUT for their 2020 Women in Space event. She is currently a subject matter expert or the NASA SpaceApps Hackathon, and a diversity coordinator for UK Students for Exploration and Development of Space. Chaneil started a website astronoir.org with the aim to make science more approachable this includes blog posts, web-based panels and podcasts. Chaneil is also a freelance scientific journalist for Physics World.
