Hello BlackInAstro! Im Sam aka “ The Female Hawking” . I am a student at the University of Portsmouth currently studying an Integrated Masters in Physics,Astrophysics & Cosmology. My love for space science dates back to when I was 8 years old. After our first introduction to “The Solar System” in Primary school , I was soo geeked out and begged my parents to buy me a kiddies chalk board to teach all the children in my street about the planets. However I only knew when I was 15 that I could turn this hobby into a career and study it in varsity. I currently run a society which aims to teach and share information about physics , astrophysics, aerospace and aviation!I am lucky enough to have my best friends who are pilots and some are aerospace engineers so this motivates me to keep working hard and sharing awareness about having a career as an Astrophysicist especially as an African Child . I hope to join BlackInAstro in order to also share all the information about space science and hopefully make our younger generation of women and black children be more eager and confident to be in this path . I recently also developed an interest in Astrophotography and cant wait to nurture this hobby and share all my pics with everyone!
