Hi! I am a current PhD student at the University of Surrey in the UK, I work on the EDGE project which is a project to simulate the smallest galaxies. I am currently looking at globular clusters within these simulations and how they relate to dark matter! If I’m honest I’m not too sure what kind of work i want to do just yet, but i think thats fine thats the journey I’m willing to go on! I first got really interested by dark matter during my the research i carried out during my third year undergraduate studies for my MPhys at Northumbria University in Newcastle in the UK. This is where i really got to dig into what dark matter is and the different models that explain this missing matter from the universe!, and then during my fourth year i got to really take an interest in simulations where i was looking at simulating magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) waves within the suns atmosphere. Outside of doing a PhD, i can usually be caught in a boxing gym and competing because I love the sport and I get very competitive when it comes to it. I think it has definitely helped me over the years because it allows me to destress when things start to get tough, as we all know astro does.
